Updating Coaches Information

Note: We also touch on Searching a Webpage and Zooming in on a page.

Click Site Pages after logging in to Pagelime

Click Coaches Directory

Scroll to the very bottom of the page until you see the EDIT button.  click edit

Since the list of coaches is long it is best to learn how to search with the page.  To activate the search feature I like to just hit control F on the keyboard but you can also just select Edit from the browser menu and select Find on this Page...  note the keyboard commands are listed as reference.

Here i type bask in the Find box.   I am searching for basketball coaches but do not need to type it all out.

The search found 38 matches and highlighted them in yellow on the page to help me.

I will be adding an assistant coach.  So i will copy the other assistant so i do not have to work to recreate the same look.

It is always for the brower to ask you to allow access.  Click Allow access.  Using your keyboard commands actually can sometimes avoid this popup.   you may need to copy again after this warning.

A good tip when editing bullet points is place your cursor in the middle of existing text that looks text you want.

In this instance you can see a bullet point that is indented.

Now notice the mouse cursor is on the unindent button. this will fix this problem.

click delete while your cursor is at the end of the sentence to delete any extra space.

Now we need to make the email link email the coach when clicked.  Select the text "Email Coach"  then right click and click the insert/Edit Link button

We need the coaches email address.  If you have it in outlook, switch to outlook to get the email.  Start to send the coach an email.

Right click and copy on the coaches name in the email.

it should copy your email link.  switch back to pagelime and paste the link in the email link properties box.

click update and you are done.

Ah i have accidentally pasted the coach in the wrong section. The boys section. Ron is a girls coach... So to review, i will cut the text

I am tired of working with the tiny text so i will zoom in to make it easier to see.   Click view to Zoom to 200%   .

The find feature is still open so i will refine my search and type "Rick" and click next

It took me right Rick Risinger the Girls head coach.  And now i can see better. I position my cursor at the end of Ricks bullet point and paste Rons bullet point information.

i just need to hit the enter key to create a new bullet point.

I will need to reset my zoom so i can see the publish menu.
